RGS Privacy Statement

We, at RGS Recovery Management and Collection Services, Inc. (RGS), value the privacy of information entrusted to us by you, as our clients. We are committed to ensuring the protection of data in all our processes as part of our compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and our agreement made with you.

This privacy statement explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the data held within our custody.

COLLECT

We are a third-party service provider that collects personal data of your borrowers/account holders.

The following personal information is collected upon endorsement of accounts:

  • Name
  • Contact Numbers
  • Address
  • Email Address
  • Account information such as account number, amount due, and due dates
  • May also include Co-maker's Name and References with their contact detials

We collect data through email or VPN Connection. We ensure that all files sent to us are encrypted. We only use a secured VPN Connection to receive and transmit data with our clients.

Additional data may also be acquired directly from borrowers through negotiations made by our agents. This information gathered may include the accountholder’s updated contact details or any other personal information.

We may also collect data from your accountholders in case of concerns/complaints escalations through our Official Facebook Page. This may include the following:

  • Name
  • Contact Numbers and/or Email Addresses
  • Account Information which is limited to the name of the Bank/Campaign of the account concerned.

USE

We collect data for the purpose of carrying out the services we provide you. These services include debt collection, skip tracing, field visitation, credit investigation/verification, sales, and repossession. We have an existing process for how the data is handled by our authorized personnel.

For inquiries and complaints escalation through our Official Facebook Page, gathered data will be used to identify which of our team handles the account for easier resolution of the case.

STORE and PROTECT Data is being stored through our in-house CRM System which is being maintained internally. Only authorized users have access to the system where the data is stored. This is governed by our Password Management Policy.

Retention of data will depend on the service agreement between you and RGS. After the end of the retention period, deletion and destruction of data shall be made. Physical records shall be disposed of through shredding, while digital files shall be anonymized. This also applies upon the termination of our service agreement.

For inquiries and complaints escalation through our official online digital platforms, yearly deletion of gathered data is being implemented.

Our Information Security Policy is in place. RGS implements security measures through its Data Protection Officer, Information Technology Personnel, and Management, to access, process, and protect your data.
